President Biden on Monday night issued a plea for supporters to donate to his campaign in the wake of former President Trumpā€™s victory in Iowa.

ā€œLooks like Donald Trump just won Iowa. Heā€™s the clear front runner on the other side at this point,ā€ Biden wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

ā€œBut hereā€™s the thing: this election was always going to be you and me vs. extreme MAGA Republicans. It was true yesterday and itā€™ll be true tomorrow,ā€ Biden added, posting a link to a fundraising page.

      I wouldnā€™t say that.

Voting is easy and convenient for me. Iā€™m voting D like I do every election. Just not happy I donā€™t have a say in who that is for the next four years

The problem is people that donā€™t always vote because they have to fight suppression.

ā€œVote me or things will be worse, Iā€™ll keep everything as bad as it is!ā€

Doesnā€™t really get them out to the pollsā€¦

And thatā€™s not opinion, we know it often doesnā€™t work. Itā€™s just also the only way conservative Dems can still win. So thatā€™s what weā€™re going to keep seeing

Sadly, thanks to Republicans, it isnā€™t for a lot of people. By design, because those people are more likely to vote for Democrats.

we havenā€™t had a say in that since Iā€™ve been votingā€¦ probably. Certainly since Iā€™ve been paying attention to the primaries. ('16 is what really got me hyper focussed on them.)

ā€œVote me or things will be worse, Iā€™ll keep everything as bad as it is!ā€

Theyā€™ve been saying that for as long as Iā€™ve been voting, too. (actually both sides have been using lesser of two evilsā€¦ which this is just an extension of.)
