It depends on what is being counted as valid “employment”. Do informal labour and gig labour count?
You want someone with a PhD to fix car tyres?
They may eventually be doing that in ten years or so because the system failed to create suitable jobs for them.
That’s not what I meant. I meant that the statistic of employment among less educated youth will seem more flattering if they count what I mentioned as jobs, even though their condition will continue to be precarious.
I see
