      I think his analysis of fascism specifically is a lot more incisive than Verhoeven’s. I have this problem of not being able to recommend things to people properly, because it feels like just restating the points made in a text, but in a lamer voice. lukacs-stare The Destruction of Reason is also straight fire. I really don’t think the psychological profiling or media analysis of fascist figures or media is helpful. It’s obscuring the historical emergence and progression of fascism in its different forms.
