I don’t know how G-Mod works, but is there like some central repository of maps and characters, or can anyone just download these from wherever and add them to the game?
The Steam Workshop is the easiest way to do it and that’s the site they targeted - but it’s not the only one, Nexus has a GMod page, so does gamebanana, gmodstore, mod db… it would be a lot of work to keep all Nintendo IP off of every single mod platform.
Gamebanana in particular stands out because they still host a lot of mods for Switch games, so they’re thumbing their nose at Nintendo already.
