“The People are no longer afraid” was the cover of one of the newspapers published on the 12th of May of 1974. On April 25, 1974 a coup carried out by the Armed Forces Movement (MFA), in disagreement with the colonial war that had been going on for thirteen years in Mozambique, Angola and Guinea, put an end to the Portuguese dictatorship, which lasted 48 years under the direction of Antonio Salazar and under the leadership of Marcelo Caetano (after 1968).

Thousands of people immediately left their homes, against the appeal of the military who led the coup – which insisted on the radio for people to stay at home -, especially in Lisbon and Porto, and it was with the people at their front door, shouting "death to fascism”, that the Government was surrounded in the Quartel do Carmo (Barracks of Carmo) in Lisbon; the doors of the prisons of Peniche and Caxias were opened for release all political prisoners; PIDE / DGS, the political police, was dismantled; the headquarters of newspaper of the regime, The Age, was attacked and the censorship was abolished.

The Portuguese empire would fall later in 1974, after mobilizing nearly two million forced workers (in the mines in South Africa, cotton plantations in Angola, among others) and a 13 year war – 1961-1974 – to prevent the independence of the African countries of Angola, Cabo Verde, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau. Having been built to increase the profit of monopolies, as well as to discipline the workforce, the Portuguese dictatorship fell in the hands of the workers in April of 1974. A significant part of the property owners had to flee the country after the nationalizations which were meant to put an end to the workers’ control, which had become generalized starting February of 1975, especially in the banking sector, large metallomechanical factories, etc.

The ankylose structure of the empire – as well as that of its Bonapartist regime – led to the most important social rupture in post-war Europe – so great was the rupture and the length of it that no historian to this day has managed to determine how many workers’ meetings happened during the week after the coup by the MFA because there were hundreds, maybe thousands, and countrywide.

Individual US politicians absolutely are under the thumb of the Zionist lobby and scared shitless to oppose them. Zionist money makes or breaks campaigns and they are known for ruining hundreds of careers. Epstein was literally a Mossad agent tasked with getting blackmail on US celebrities and politicians.

You have to deny a bit of reality to act like Israel is just a proxy here. No other nation gets to be so protected by US law, no other nation requires US politicians to make pledges to never participate in BDS against Israel. Many states require politicians to basically pledge allegiance to Israel, by law. It’s more like the joint CIA-Mossad deep state controls both nations and the political leadership are figureheads only.

Look at the care we have for Ukraine vs. Israel. Ukraine is what a proxy looks like. Hung out to dry, assets slurped up, population emptied out. Notice how the US Navy immediately intervened (without hesitation) to shoot down Iranian missiles but they refuse to do so on behalf of Ukraine. Israel has a special privileged position, they are not a mere proxy they are a cancerous tumorous parasite that has partial control of its host

The Zionist lobby didn’t create US support for Israel. It was the desire to dominate the Arab world, exercise a tight grip on the Suez, and exert power in a region with lots of oil that made US interests align with supporting Israel in the 1960s and the power of the Zionist lobby comes from the way it works towards those US interests.

This wasn’t even a secret, it was the publicly stated reason. It’s an extension of US military power.

      1995 https://www.meforum.org/244/jesse-helms-setting-the-record-straight

      2004 https://www.jonathanpollard.org/2005/012805.htm

The Zionist lobby doesn’t control the politicians. Like, in the 1960s Jewish people usually couldn’t join the country club, and that’s when it became a US protectorate. The US senatorial class were a bunch of anti-Semites. It wasn’t the Zionist lobby that made that happen. The Zionist lobby is empowered by the political establishment because the Zionist lobby is a useful tool towards their own aims.

Obviously Zionists didn’t exert control over the US before the existence of Israel. It was something that took time to secure. I never stated that US and British politicians created Israel because they were controlled by Zionists, I said in the present day, an analysis of the reality we face clearly shows that there is a complex two-way relationship between Israel and the US and Israel obviously exerts ridiculous amount of power within the US, disproportionate to any other foreign state.

Zionism is anti-Semitic inherently, so obviously American Zionist politicians are anti-Semitic. No shit.

If all they wanted was war they would be equally freaked out about anti-Ukraine sentiment as anti-Israel sentiment but you don’t see them screaming and losing their minds and beating and arresting America First GOP types who held up Ukraine funding for a year. You don’t see them condemning the Farmer protests in Europe as pro-Putin and beating and arresting them with extreme violence like you see them do to anti-Israel protesters.

Why does Israel have special privileges above every other vassal state on Earth if it’s just the domestic MIC?

I’ll say it since I don’t want to leave it open ended. Because Israeli agents have infiltrated American politics and taken partial control of their “master”. They have blackmail. They have billions of dollars. They are deeply intertwined with the US intel community (CIA and Mossad were born around the same time and have always had joint operations and cross contamination). To pretend like they don’t and smol bean Israel is just yet another proxy is ludicrous when faced with the complete double standard between Israel and everywhere else

Honestly, I think Israel takes more of Epstein-esque role…

Sure, Israel has a lot of dirt on the U.S and Western Europe, but without the latter’s investment and foreign military aid, it wouldn’t be the millionaire “start-up” nation that people thought it would be… let alone exist.

Israel, in its position, may drag others with them if all goes to shit, but regardless, it’ll prbly be disposed off by the West even if it doesn’t drag others down…
