Was it from a hardware failure or an OS issue? What caused it? Which OS are you running Lemmy on?
Pretty sure Lemmy has a memory leak, it’ll eat all the memory of the server and need a reboot. This was with 8GB of RAM as well, but hopefully getting it updated to 0.18.x will fix that (but I heard there’s an issue with XSS at the moment so I’m holding back)
Is it specifically a Lemmy issue or would running on 16GB help to allow all of the processes to run at full capacity?
It seems to be a Lemmy issue, I’m pretty sure it would eat 16GB as well :) but possibly fixed in 18.x so I’m going to wait for that upgrade first
