You’re probably right. And this replacement deal was even real? I can recall that Poland offered to send F-16 and Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine if NATO proved replacements even back in 2022 or 2023 but USA did straight up denied.
Yes, it is why countries agreed to send their current stock to Ukraine (Latvia sent all of their helicopters, all four of them lol, Slovenia sent old M-55 tanks and received Leopards or IFVs iirc, Netherlands and Denmark are sending F-16s since they’re replacing them with F-35s from the US, Denmark also sent all of their Caesar SPGs and is most likely gonna buy new ones, and so on).
