Good morning fellow sobernauts, IWNDWYT 😁!

We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

I forgot yesterday and I’m going to forget tonight. My new weighted blanket helped me sleep.

I will not be drinking today! I didn’t yesterday either, I think I forgot to check in. :(

    I’ll pass today.

I’ve been sidelined from work since the beginning of September. I’ve been drinking pretty much every day since then, even if it’s just a little. It helps me to quiet my mind a bit and makes me fall asleep easier.

But now I just feel awful because the quality of sleep I’m getting is not great and not enough since I wake up at 7 am every day.

Just a couple days of nothing until the holidays arrive and back to occasional drinking in the new year.

One of the pinned posts is about better sleep, you could see if any of those tips are helpful.

Thanks. I will have a look. It’s not that I can’t sleep through a night, it’s just the getting to sleep that is difficult sometimes. I combat this by going to bed when I’m really tired rather than when I really should.

The thing is that I have been drinking a little every night for a while now. So when I get tired at around midnight I’ve had a few.

Weighted Blanket…I’ve been doing the same for far too long and learning how to sleep is hard
