I dont really feel like these are the only options, though. Why can’t you look for another job you’d enjoy more while still working at the job you hate?

That’s definitely an option, but not always as easy as it sounds. If you don’t have PTO, when do you attend interviews? Every interview I’ve had has been during normal business hours. And if you need multiple interviews before getting hired?

Will you current employer fire you if they find out you’re looking? Or if your prospective employer calls for a reference check and your current employer gives negative comments so they don’t lose you?

Definitely, I don’t disagree. Didn’t mean to imply that looking elsewhere was an option for everybody.

My situation is i won’t be able to make nearly the same amount of money within 1000 miles of where I live. Granted, I wouldn’t use the word “hate” for my job, but it definitely should be better than it is.

And yes, I could move, but that would mean my wife wouldn’t be able to work until she gets licensed where ever we move and my extended family is all here. Don’t want to take my kids away from their cousins and grandparents

Why don’t I strap on my job helmet and squeeze down into a job cannon and fire off into Jobland where jobs grow on jobbies.

Well, the message as I interpreted it is that you either have to:

        a) keep working at the job you hate, or b) experience homelessness

What am I missing? Granted, I slept very badly so its entirely possible that I may have morning dumb dumb brain.

No no, you have a great point, it’s just that there are various circumstances that don’t allow many people to do what you described in an easy way.

Yes, yes you have to do exactly as the meme says, there is no room for a little humor in misery.

You know we’re literally posting in the comment section of a discussion platform, right? Writing your opinion is kind of the whole point…

Or work 3 days a week and learn how to live happily on a low income. It’s easy outside of major cities
