    Why does it matter if they “mean” it? The point is to help people avoid topics that are sensitive to them. Who cares if they meant it or not. Whatever that means.

      It actually never occurred to me that those messages would be useful to anyone… but the shorter phrasing they reverted to is less patronizing anyways, and I always appreciate that
