I’m sure this will go over well with the Ukrainian populace. I have no doubts they’d be thrilled to allow the US to carve up their country.

At the moment it doesn’t seem to matter much what the Ukrainian populace thinks or wants. Most of them don’t want the war to continue. They don’t want themselves or their children to be drafted. They don’t want Zelensky as president. Yet they have all those things and they can’t seem to do anything about it for the time being.

This was always the plan. That’s why they were so dead set on just hurling as many Ukrainians at the Russian defense lines as they could. What better way to colonize/imperialize a country then to push it to war with your own opponent and use said war to kill off as many native citizens as possible? And if they could do some harm to Russia while they are at it then even better.

The part of the country with these minerals has already been “carved up” by the Russians and their SMO. They do not have access to most of these resources Zelensky foolishly promised them. This extraction will likely never take place, and Trump and whoever’s next will not be understanding in this regard. Ukraine’s economy is about to take on a very Greek aspect.

You mean the parts of the country that seceded because the UkraNazis didn’t give a shit about them? And then the UkraNazis threw a fit that Donbas dared to have a spine, and continued bombing civilians?

I think it might be due to the fact that your comment implies Russia carved up eastern Ukraine which is not what is happening. That places Russia’s role in the war as the same as the US. I’m sure that’s not what you meant considering the rest of your comment is about the logic of the resource extraction, in that it’s not possible due to the area with said resources is under Russian control/protection. Correct me if I’m wrong, though.

I think that must’ve been it. I was echoing the language of the parent comment, I wasn’t really trying to imply that.
