I don’t have the time or desire to maintain an online presence, nor do I think that’s a particularly healthy way to live. It’s not the default mode of existence; it’s an extremely recent phenomenon. If the cultural norm was to run naked down the street at 5pm with a stick up your arse, would deciding not to join in be “hiding”?
