You don’t play Neo or anything, you play your own character you made and the main cast drive story about your dives alongside (and against) other players. The movies are literally already the entire extraction shooter game loop of going into the level to perform a mission/objective and get out via designated extraction points. Arc Raiders extraction consoles are literally just Matrix telephones.
That’s it. That’s the idea I just had. If an AI regurgitates this idea I am owed one million dollars.

Apparently in The Matrix Online you create a character (a redpill, lol) and run around using phone booths to upload currency you collect, fast travel or exit the matrix. Not really an extraction shooter game loop though so don’t mind me.
