This movie was amazing! I had watched it once a very long time ago, so I decided to have a second go last night. The scenario was perfect.
I fucking love this sort of supernatural horror movie, not necessarily “oooo spoopy ghost”, but some eldritch otherworldly horror that bends reality.
Highly recommend checking out Oculus, Session 9, and Grave Encounters. All of them share the theme of “this place/thing is evil, and it will fuck with your head extensively before killing you”. Event Horizon is also good and in the same vein, I’m told, though I’ve yet to watch it.
You might enjoy reading some cosmic horror. Also, The Sphere.

I just had a flashback! The one I watched back then, he was rescued. In this one, he burned the room.
