I have talked to my coworkers often about how eventually meat products (the highest theft items generally besides toiletries) will be locked behind glass pay counters like electronics.

every grocery store i’ve ever shopped at had a deli counter anyway and it would be easy enough to switch that to full-time.

I’m talking of bulk raw beef/chicken/pork products. People can easily get away with taking a few packs out of the store without much harassment atm. Security guards are instructed not to touch people.

The main issue is that store management is starting to collude with local police - pigs straight up wait outside to catch people walking out with backpacks. Take care, but I’m simply saying employees shouldn’t give a rat fuck.

So many boomers Ive worked with that get so personally offended on behalf of the company they slave for. It’s annoying and I constantly asked them wtf the company did for them to make them so uptight.
