He instructed the governmental oversight committee to study the implications of adding to Texas “one or more contiguous counties of New Mexico” and the process to do so, after welcoming a proposal out of New Mexico to allow its counties to band together and secede. While the Texas-New Mexico boundary is unlikely to shift next year, the proposal will likely appeal to pro-secessionists in Texas, some of whom are among Burrows’ conservative skeptics.
I don’t even like imaginary lines in the dirt to begin with so you’re gonna have to make a better argument than U Haul
State boundaries make sense in that if there were none everyone would be represented by a single entity. They have to exist at some level for that reason.
Okay but why do states exist in the first place.

For the same reason that countries exist. Everyone should have the right for representation. The US is a big place. It needs to be broken into individual locations so that citizens are better locally represented. Whether or not the seemingly arbitrary lines make sense is a different debate, but have some level of boundaries should exist due to the size of this country.

You haven’t provided any counter. I’ve told you why they should exist. You’ve said they shouldn’t with no reason. What is your better solution that will be better and why?
Prove to me the imaginary lines in the dirt exist first and then I’ll counter it.
