Boox sent review units of the Palma to some people with sites covering e-readers, so early coverage is starting to come in. The model reviewed here is a developer unit, but everything said is encouraging for people who just want a single-handed device.

Lots of pics from all angles of the device and 300dpi looks gorgeous on that tiny form factor.

I haven’t read much about e-ink color stuff as it always looked like such a work in progress. Is Boox’s color tech much better than others? I know Hisense has put out at least one color e-ink phone (again no play store/services though). Is it mainly the color PPI is much lower? I know the saturation is quite low on the color e-ink screens I’ve seen.

I just got a BOOX Tab Mini C this week and love it so far. Color is 150dpi vs B/W being 300dpi, but its not super noticeable. It’s using the newest eink color system, Kaleido 3, and it’s so much better than previous versions. Maybe not ready for every casual reader/consumer expecting OLED quality color, but as an eink / ereader nerd its wonderful.
