If I’m growing inside, how far away can you smell it? I see grows where they don’t even use a tent, that has to be smelly. I just want to grow one plant or two at a time and I don’t want to invest a lot of money. Ideally less than 200 for equipment.
Well, I know my neighbor grows. And I’ve never been inside his house, nor has he said he does.
I can smell it from my front porch, maybe fifty feet away.
But that’s the kicker. How much is your neighbor growing to produce that much smell. Is one or two plants going to be that smelly?
Hard to tell tbh. But it’s a small house with the same gener floor plan as most of the ones in the neighborhood. One bedroom, one bath, living room and kitchen + a back porch can’t be very many plants. If he’s closet growing, it can’t hold more than two.
Mind you, the size of the place could make it easier to smell since there’s very little space for it to thin out.
I did 4 plants in my backyard. No equipment at all - just put out some bag seeds where i normally grow tomatoes. You could smell it from the front sidewalk a house away.
It’s a normal plant smell for 70% of the grow. That last 30% will dank up the house and the dog too if you don’t have a decent tent and carbon filter.
I am incapable overall, so I can’t tell you how to gerryrig a smell proof setup for 200, but there is a complete dummy proof set up for sale on Amazon with perfectly decent equipment that will last you years.

It’s 400, but worth the investment. You’ll grow enough weed to make up the cost after just 2 grows. Maybe 1 grow if you do it right the first time (i didn’t)
