I could only find the “original”, without the bottom text. The one with the comment is just as blurry.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•How do you sleep at night? Please respond with a number
8·1 day agoI wouldn’t sleep with a bra, either. It’s just an unnecessary layer, preventing my skin from breathing properly. The straps would also be just in the way. I’m a cis male, though.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Ok, honestly, is cast-iron really any better than a non-stick, stainless, copper (anything else?) pan?
1·2 days agoTotally agreed, that’s the plan.
I just listened to a podcast with people deep into Chinese cuisine. According to their conversation, desserts (as in, desserts like in Western culture) are not a crucial part of their cuisine. It’s like asking for vegan stuff at a steak house or pizza at a pasta place. There might be an option, but don’t expect it to be at the same level.

4·2 days agoScientists are your best bet, I guess. I wish I could cite you studies, but I would have to search, as well. I might soon.
UPDATE: This far all I got was ‘best to be careful’ or ‘staying away never hurts’:

These findings challenge the assumption that PTFE particles are biologically inert, highlighting hazards arising from their physical interactions, especially at the nanoscale. Given the relevance of the co-culture in vitro model of intestinal barrier to human intestinal physiology, the results underscore potential intestinal health risks from PTFE-MNPL exposure. Future studies should focus on chronic, low-dose exposures to elucidate the specific cellular pathways activated by PTFE-MNPL exposure.

Due to toxicity concerns, PFOA has been replaced with other chemicals such as GenX, but these new alternatives are also suspected to have similar toxicity. Therefore, more extensive and systematic research efforts are required to respond the prevailing dogma about human exposure and toxic effects to PTFE, PFOA, and GenX and other alternatives.

4·2 days agoI have a non-stick, and I use it rather infrequently. I have read about the effects of damaged coating, and GOD I would throw it away immediately as soon as I see ONE flake in it. Maybe I’m just overreacting it, but I treat it like it was a delicately covered layer of asbestos.
It’s great and smooth NOW, but I’m only using it until I see a noticeably hard scratch. Until then, I get rid of the oil and juices with a paper towel immediately after cooking (and I’m already slightly worried that the dry paper could be too abrasive on the dry bits of the pan), and I leave it to cool down before I wash it to prevent it from heat stress.
I might be overthinking it. But I’m playing with the thought of getting a cast iron or carbon steel already.
Make them eat horse shoes made out of uranium!
Nah, you’re looking at the underside of a 46 billion light years tall bride.
I’m sure a bunch of console buyers are turned away by the “complexity” of buying+installing+maintaining+storing a desktop PC, thinking that they just want to play and they don’t want this seemingly too complicated/boring/sizeable machine with all those cables and connectors.
They just want to buy a box that they turn on and just pick a game to play (like a desktop with icons was that different, but oh well).
The Steam cube will be at least somewhat closer to their more familiar concept.
Hear me out: intentional spellign mistakes.

World News@lemmy.world•NATO Is Preparing to Confront Russia With Limited US SupportEnglish
11·6 days agoI had to read the title 3 times, because even for the second read through I read ‘NATO is preparing to comfort Russia’.
Even without any nefarious motives, they just do dumb stuff like that. I have Clone Hero installed. Whenever I press Super/Windows and I start typing ‘clon’, the FIRST thing that comes up is ‘Control Panel’, Clone Hero being the second guess.
So whenever I want to quickly start the game, I type ‘clon’, press enter, then get annoyed by the lack of Clone Hero and an unwelcome Control Panel window.

News@lemmy.world•Asahi says more than 1.5m customers' data leaked in cyber-attack
1·8 days agoI had to read the title twice because I didn’t understand how the height of a customer can affect their data security. 🇪🇺
I might not be in this picture, however, way too many times I get something similar where I can actually pinpoint why it reminds me of something seemingly unrelated, and it’s like 3-5 conceptual jumps away. It’s way too complicated and boring to explain, but it’s also awkward if I just say they are related.
For example, someone talking about ice hockey, which reminds me of Robin’s character from How I met your mother, or when she made a music clip called ‘Let’s go to the mall’, which reminds me of how sad it is that malls are not (that much of) a thing anymore. Do I explain how I remembered this story of a repurposed mall? Of course not, that would be silly. Do I just say it was an association chain? Nah. Is it awkward? It is.
Nononono, you don’t get it: looking at the past 4+ governments, I think they want to increase the birth rate of the right people.
I was so naïve back when had I thought the Labour would be any different from the Tories…

Whoa whoa! I stopped listening to them around Nemo (not out of disinterest, just life and stuff). Are you saying Floor is up to the level of Tarja?
