There would be a lot fewer old people by the end of the month… (ICU Nurse)
Agreed, stepping down is a bit heavy handed. There are a lot of moving parts, it’s okay to take time for your self and let others take up the reigns temporarily if you need to. I’ve seen quite a lot of merges on the core recently - so it’s obvious things are moving in the right direction.
Yeah, I’m still seeing this bug when trying to post a thread or a picture post. “Link” posting seems to work alright though, but I can’t post any other type of content… It’s been this way for about a month. I’m sort of losing interest since I can’t really post threads - I can only comment.
Not really, though. Rigid structure helps with ADHD, but only when someone else is enforcing the structure. Prepubescent kids with ADHD aren’t typically capable of maintaining their own structure. They aren’t neurotypical, it’s more than distraction and energy, they have a functioning issue. They can’t tune out all the stimulus that normal brains do, and because of it they miss a lot of social cues that help with development.
My son has ADHD and no amount of reorienting our family environment would help him - he could (and has) literally be in a bare concrete room with nothing but his thoughts and get distracted and slam his hands together making exploding/punching sounds for hours, where a typical kid would get bored in seconds.
There is an extension called “Social Fixer” that brings back the sort by new and allows you to filter out all the ‘sponsored’ and ‘suggested’ bullshit. It’s not being actively updated anymore, but it still works fine.
It’s ridiculous that I can pay for MLB TV and the ONLY game I’m unable to watch is my local team…
To add to this; because of how federation works, having an account on artemis.camp gets you access to the same content using the app.
This was totally the answer - it appears having any instance blocked at all is causing threads to be filtered out of view, even my own. Unblocking all domains fixes the issue for me and there are a LOT more recent posts than I was seeing previously.
I don’t think @ actually pings a notification to users. He does respond to direct messages sometimes though.
Not sure if it is a coincidence, but that is the same domain I had blocked as well - unblocking fixed the issue for me too.
Sadly, I don’t think that these threads and comments are even visible to those who don’t know this is happening… I was not able to see any of the threads until unblocking all domains.
Here to confirm that I was having this issue too - at @e569668 's advice I unblocked a domain that I had blocked and now I am able to see a LOT more threads that I was previously unable to view in magazines. I wasn’t even able to view my own threads in magazine.
It appears having ANY domain blocked erroneously filters out threads not at all associated with those domains.
Oh wow. I could not see any of those other threads about the issue either! Now I see a bunch of them after unblocking that domain.
Hmm, I had ‘exploding-heads’ blocked. I unblocked that domain and now I am able to see the old thread I posted while logged in. Very weird.
I still get the error when creating new threads, but they do show up now.
@bybpow
No, definitely not normal. I have been experiencing this for about a week too - but because of the nature of the issue, I’m not sure anyone can see the threads opened to alert people of them.

Please… Millennials will be 50 years old before GTA6 makes it’s way to market.

Researchers In Singapore Developed AI Program that Can Read Your Mind
Veuer • 20h
Many believe AI overlords are coming to take our jobs and spy on us, but many are worried they might manipulate the way we think. Well now, according to researchers in Singapore, AI might already be able to read your mind. Veuer’s Tony Spitz has the details.
It could be a secondary account, but I would guess that it’s the one they currently belong to?
