That’s tough. Today’s my first day OFF work in a week after being pretty sick the whole time, and I’m ready to alternate between playing Satisfactory and lying on the floor in the fetal position.
Also, no idea you could tame these things - I’m fairly new (~17h) and have never looked into anything past what I’ve played because I like to go into things blind. Does it do anything?
My first reward was Lapras, I have 1 Lapras, 2 Pikachu, 1 Clefairy and 4 Mankey, but no Butterfree.
Just a few more things to throw on the ever-growing pile of media where they don’t realise they’re not the characters they think they are. I’m not an anime guy so I don’t know how obvious these ones are, but after seeing the gross misinterpretations of things like The Boys or Squid Game they could beat the viewer over the head with the message and we’d still be here.
Jones hasn’t crawled under any rocks, he’s been going strong even with a billion dollar judgement against him and filing for bankruptcy. Infowars is being auctioned off in a week so it might be bought by someone who will just keep him exactly where he is, but he’s been openly setting up a backup business and directing people to it, which he’s said ON AIR he’ll just fold into the existing business if all goes well. His dad has a completely independent supplement company and he’s got completely unaffiliated mates selling his merch.
The only reason he’s less prominent now is because the politicians and the mainstream media in the US are so fucking unhinged that he’s struggling to stay relevant in his niche.
Remember a few years back when we’d have a running gag of saying something violently over the top and adding “in Minecraft” to the end? Some dude on 4chan got arrested for doing that with death threats, and yet for years I’ve been hearing other people, guys with actual political power and platforms, muttering “politically” after way worse shit. It’s a good thing whenever anyone acts on anything it’s a false flag, it’d suck if they ever had to face any consequences.
On work days I always get a good 7-8 hours, but if I’m not working I very rarely manage more than 3-4, it’s as if my brain feels like it’s wasting the day. I’m one of those people who can operate comfortably on very little sleep. I use a sleep cycle alarm that is supposed to wake me when it senses I’m only sleeping lightly or something, no idea if any of that stuff’s real/helpful but it can’t hurt. I also maintain a healthy weight (I used to be overweight) which keeps pressure off my neck and reduces snoring & breathing interruptions, that definitely helps with feeling rested.
Once in a blue moon my body decides to sleep about 9 hours longer than planned to catch up on missed sleep, but I either rarely feel particularly tired or I’ve been doing this long enough that I don’t remember what being properly awake felt like 🤷♂️

I haven’t really been keeping up with DC since whatever the New 52 rebooted into, but I’m interested in these Absolute comics. Wonder Woman was cool and Batman was… so anyway I’m looking forward to Superman.
I’m surprised the end is so high. I’ve seen the first 3 or 4 seasons a bunch of times because I’d rewatch them as background noise between seasons, but I remember really not liking the final season. I can’t remember any specifics because it’s been so long, but I haven’t gone back and watched it again since it came out because it was so disappointing. I do remember not liking Liz’s boyfriend at all, and for some reason I hated the final episode.
I’ve been watching the show with my partner recently, but we’re only half a dozen episodes in because it’s just filler for when we’re not in the mood for an episode of something heavier.
That’s good, but what exactly is the cutoff line? Tucker toured with fuckin Clive Palmer just a few months ago, and I’d take Owens over him any day.
He knows it and he did it intentionally, but the people laughing at him are his imagination. He’s projected these thoughts onto them because he feels self-conscious, nobody said a word to him. It’s just as likely the woman was laughing because she’s on the phone, or the man was smirking at something on a podcast he’s got playing.

I realized she was laughing derisively. She was like, “What kind of person would drive something like that?” Or, “That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Granted, she could have been having a weird reaction to a stroke or something, but I’m pretty sure I saw what I saw. Then today, I was at a four-way stop, and a guy in a Nissan Titan/Toyota Tundra or something smiled and then chuckled like: “What a tool.” Or, who would drive something like that?”
Mate, these thoughts are in your head. My partner has bouts of anxiety where she assumes people are always thinking the worst of her, so I’m hesitant to make fun of the dude because I’ve seen what it can do to someone, but he’s clearly bought a dumbass car to get attention and now he’s feeling insecure about it. It’s sad.
These comics are from the Onion iirc, they’re intentionally shit takes.
The tweet linked in the article is from a dude who bitches about the “uglification of women” in games and Ubisoft being too focused on DEI. The post the article is about is clearly talking about people like him. The fact that there’s only one other comment here calling this out tells me either nobody actually looked into this at all because you’re all too excited to dogpile Ubisoft and don’t even care why, or you agree. Both are worrying.
That’s because people were going on with high expectations, right? I haven’t seen it (yet?) but Morbius and Madame Web both got C+ and I’d be surprised if it’s actually worse than those. Although I’d be more interested if it really is that much of a trainwreck tbh, I liked the first movie well enough but didn’t think it needed a sequel, I was just going to pirate it next time I was bored at work.

Candle & Crow, book 3 in the Ink & Sigil series by Kevin Hearne came out today, I’m looking forward to getting into it. It’s set in the same world as the Iron Druid Chronicles, but isn’t really related outside of a couple of old characters popping up IIRC. I don’t think I even knew about this until I saw it on a list of upcoming releases last week.
I’m also reading through Swifts and Us by Sarah Gibson, which is a book my gf got for me last Christmas and only just got around to handing over 9 months later. It’s a non-fiction book about my favourite bird, nothing to do with pop singers.
Space Marine 2. It might happen, or it might not. The devs think it could be a good idea but Sony isn’t currently interested and it’s not being worked on. This is like the courier in Skyrim running up to tell you you’ve got no mail.
A super white space with a fireplace in every room, then suddenly you’re in a bedroom without walls (I guess they ran out of money?), then a horrible marble bathroom, then suddenly it looks like a completely different house with terracotta tiles and feature brickwork everywhere, then a toilet with like… limestone walls? A kitchenette bigger than my actual kitchen in a sitting room where none of the 6+ chairs face the TV. I dig the spoiler room though, that last fuckin toilet got me. I couldn’t imagine living in a place like that.
