I personally have no issue with VAR not being able to rule that the ball went out of play. I think Gabriel was fouled in the build-up and I still don’t see how they didn’t have the correct footage for the offside, but that’s another matter entirely.

My point is that if there wasn’t enough evidence to rule out whether or not Willock had run the ball out for them to act, then why was Rashford keeping the ball in play against Brighton not given the same advantage? Surely, they had the same level of evidence for that, no?

That does also gloss over the fact that we have seen new rule changes too.

We’ve seen that dissent and time-wasting and now punished a lot more harshly, which has also contributed to it and those aren’t down to VAR interventions.

Because the VAR scfreen is bigger and because it stops the players coming over to watch, as they’re not allowed to leave the field to watch it, whereas they can all crowd the referee if they whip their phone out on the field.

This list seems like a pretty damning indictment of the club’s scouting department, their negotiations team and their manager, because almost none of these have done anything worth talking about.

Never performs when he plays (or rarely), has a piss poor attitude, just fallen out with his manager, dropped from the England squad because he never properly trains, suspended from actual first-team football because of the falling out with his manager and now just fucking around on EA Sports FC at 01:00 in the morning.
