From my point of view, it’s important to provide a place to discuss it. In many ways, the genie is out of the bottle and it’s a subject we’ll never be able to avoid completely. I wanted to provide a way for people to explore without feeling like they’re being yelled at by “AI bros”.
Yeah, you might be right. I’ve been renewing certificates for years and the first time it’s really bitten me in the butt. I’m seeing the issue on desktop too, which seems to be a hit or miss for me. I need to find some time to sit down and actually dig deeper into it.
Anddddd…it seems to be back up? I haven’t touched anything but it seems to have fixed itself. I will poke around more tonight and see if there’s something specific going on.
I found some time today to start the process. I’ll keep everyone updated as I figure out how to make this happen!
Version 0.18 had a number of breaking changes that are really poorly documented, making it hard to upgrade. I’ve tried a handful of times with little success. With the holiday break coming I’d like to revisit this again because I finally have time to look at it again. I understand your pain and it’s on my radar for the next couple of weeks. :)
I got an email about this a week or so ago! I’ve been meaning to reach out to see what the new deal is with licensing. I bought a standalone license a couple of years ago but I haven’t used it in a bit so I don’t know where to even find my key right now. I’m sure it’s all stuff they can get sorted though.
I’m definitely interested to see how they treat it moving forward.
