Demand is 27.1 GW at the time of this post. 3.6 GW (13%) is coming from gas; 2.7GW (10%) from nuclear; a net 1.6% is coming from imports.

      Sorry, I was reading domestic as I’m residential rooftop.

      Sounds good and the install base is only going up!

        Sorry yes, I meant generated in the UK, as in not imported.

        They don’t count micro generation in the stats. Sheffield Solar say they have data from 1600 solar generators.

        I would imagine there’s a significant amount of home generation from rooftop solar, but this would show up as a decrease in grid demand, rather than an increase in green supply. Grid demand was 36.5 GW in 2012, but only 30.1 in 2022. I guess part of that drop is due to uncounted microgeneration offsetting some demand.
