I don’t expect most Americans to understand the media they consume even at a surface level. If it’s aesthetically pleasing and the music brings out any sort of emotion other than the constant state of rage they feel then they’ll love it
That is by far not exclusive to Americans. Reactionaries and Libs from all corners of the globe have an insane lack of media analysis. There’s also nothing wrong with that last part as well. People should be allowed to turn their brains off sometimes for a movie. The problem is when you have worse media skills then a toddler.

I agree that it isn’t an issue and in most cases I enjoy a film without being overly analytical because it does get tiring
They get the point, even if they’d never outwardly admit it. Their ideology is just opposed to ours.
