    not watching the video very drunk rn but imo it’s not b ad now. there’s exactly as much dogshit as there Lways has been. have you ever watched a bunch of old bargain bin ovas because there’s some reals bad stuff there. don’t watch them! they made bad anime on the 80s and 90s too, they made a lot of it. it sucked shit bacl then and it sucked shit now. just gotta dinf the good stuff because that still exists now too. dungeon meshi is good! wfm was good and then bad but the same way that gundam 00 was, this isn’t new to the francjise

        Wow I was kind of surprised to see this video sorta confirm my pre-existing bias; that somewhere in or around the year 2000, the wide proliferation of digital production methods eased production difficulties (possibly most notably ink shortages and pricing?) made it much easier for more studios to churn out increasing tidal waves of the same hot garbage, right around the time “otaku/weeaboo” culture made the cringe horny shows sell EVEN MORE than usual. Thus, problems that anime had always dealt with just got worse, and whatever good stuff might be made gets drowned out.

        Miyazaki might be cringe but Anime Was A Mistake®

    I think it actually was abysmal in the 2014-2020 period but it seems to be recovering now. Main issue for me is that we dont get original anime or complete adaptations as often now (compared to the 00s)
