I don’t know. I gave OP an upvote because it is an unpopular opinion, but they’re not wrong in saying that it can look weird.
You see a lot of people who wear colours that don’t suit them, and red tends to stand out more. An example I’ve seen a few times is a pale skinned lady wearing a very bright red lipstick that overpowers the other colours that she’s wearing.
Did we ever agree as a sub…uh, sublemmy, that upvote=unpopular opinion and downvote= eh, probably not that unpopular/I agree with you? I know someone brought it up the other day but I’m not sure where/ if we landed.
As I understand it, you upvote OP if their opinion is unpopular. If it’s popular, or obvious bait (Unpopular opinion - murder is bad!), then you downvote them.
As for the comments, you vote or not as you normally would on the rest of Lemmy.
