I would unironically play the fuck out of an Assassin’s Creed game where you play as a literal Chimpanzee. Imagine the parkour mechanics that come with that.

Look into Ancestors the humankind odyssey. You play as early Homos (teehee) evolving from tree climbers to upright walkers. Avoiding central African predators etc.
It was made by some former Ubisoft devs from what I heard. Its even got the mechanic of climb a thing to reveal an area. I haven’t played a ton of it, but might catch you!
