I know this is kind of random. I’ve got a black necklace with a long round pendant on it, and I think I look better topless when I wear it. I’m not sure why.

If you think you look better with it on, then chances are you do look better with it on, because you’ll feel hotter and more confident! So wear it :)

I love that the story he went with after was that he would pick up lost chains after fights and wear them so the owner could claim them…

      Like sure, technically possible.

But also so was the ultimate Debo move. Imagine Mr T whoops your ass, takes your chain, and next weekend he’s wearing it and 50 other chains.

You just take the L and don’t mention it.

If you want to wear a necklace or - anything - you should just do it.
I know it’s hard to believe when you are still young, but when you are wearing somersetting YOU like, it will make you happy. And a happy person is attractive.
It’s just a plus that any chosen accessory will attract people who have the same taste :)

One of the purposes of jewelry is to enhance looks. It can serve to draw attention to specific features.

Now, there is a disclaimer needed here. I’m hetero. So I have no sexual attraction to the male form. However, I’ve dabbled in multiple forms of art, and used to jang around weight rooms with some bodybuilders among the mix. So you either learn to appreciate the male form or you GTFO of both of those PDQ.

Necklaces can very much enhance a chest/torso. It’s all about the kind of necklace. Understated is usually best. A single pendant, with the chain/string/whatever being are the right length is going to pull the eyes to the center of the chest most of the time. This can be a very good thing. You adjust the length to match where you think that extra attention is going to give the best visual, and you’ve succeeded in jewelry.

Even a very fine chain can also give a visual break. Depending on the hair situation, chests can actually be boring to look at. A lot of hair, and it’s a visual sameness just like a total shave is. You need light and shadows, variances in tone. If you don’t have that naturally, you can supply it with jewelry (works with piercings too, btw). I’m a fucking sasquatch, and there’s more visual interest when I’m wearing even something utilitarian (a keychain sized flashlight is damn handy on a chain) rather than jewelry.

So I’m not surprised you prefer the looks when wearing your necklace. Makes total sense.

Now, sexy is as sexy does. If someone is into necklaces as a paraphilia, or just as a mild nicety, you can’t really judge whether the jewelry makes you look better or not. Most people I’ve ever heard talk about male jewelry at all leaned towards a little being enough, rather than any specific type.

But, yeah, I’ve seen enough dudes shirtless to have the opinion that a tasteful piece hanging somewhere on the sternum is sexier than without, most of the time. Doesn’t turn me on, but that’s not necessary to have an opinion about sexiness per se.

    Irrelevant.

Do you think that necklace makes you look sexy? Does it give you confidence to wear it out? Great! Confidence is sexy. Having something you do for yourself is sexy. Anyone who falls for you is gunna probably think that necklace is cool either because they are gunna associate it with you and it is gunna make them smile because you obviously like wearing it. Think of the accessory worn by your favorite character - that could be how someone who really likes you reacts to your accessory in the future.

If someone thinks it’s not their style or thinks it looks dumb if it’s a deal breaker they kinda shallow and you’re better off without… and if they value your feelings they are gunna think your attachment to the thing is cute.

Embrace the pendant. Life is too short to deny yourself the things you like.

Straight male here, I’m not who you asked but here’s some data. I wear a small silver chain, it was given to me as a teenager and I very rarely take it off. Basically every woman I’ve slept with has grabbed it to pull me down to kiss me.

Hot. Also depends on the body shape, it’s like a welcome sign down to a good time if he’s cut nice. A happy trail (hair that leads from the bellybutton to navel pubic region.) on a dad bod also fits the aesthetic.

It will depend on the person but for me personally I love crazy fashion, my ideal world is where everyone dressed like they were in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. So a necklace with a massive gemstone that looks like it contains the souls of a long dead race is ideal.

I’m indifferent about jewelry on anybody, male or female. Like, the piece itself can be nice but I don’t ever seem to think it enhances the look of the person, except sometimes earrings. Very occasionally I think it detracts from the look of the person but almost always just neutral.

You are the arbiter of what looks good on you, though. If you like it, that’s all that matters.

welcome to fashion. you can add things to the body that emphasize good stuff, detract from stuff you don’t like, draw the eye in a particular direction, create an illusion, break up an expanse, etc.

    enjoy!

Generally no, but I’m not going to be put off by it unless there’s something particular to the necklace that I dislike.

Not particularly, I’m indifferent to necklaces. Can’t really judge, I have both a church necklace and a waistlet.
