Instead of helping fix their barn, Goyette-Wiggins says the Save the Children Convoy left her family with thousands of dollars in unpaid bills.

“Hydro outstanding is over $3,000, not to mention damages, broken equipment, the clean-up, broken fruit trees and so much more,” Goyette-Wiggins told PressProgress.

Wow it took the whole article to mention that they dumped their septic tanks out into the yard? I would’ve led with that.

I know I don’t have to say this in present company, but with these kinds of people, it’s always projection. Like it can’t not be projection. I actually just learned there is a term for it: reaction formation.

Put another way, we can be pretty sure these people are dangerous for children. Very dangerous.

This is actually very true… when referring to republican ‘activists’. Basically if any republican comes out with something trying to save children, they should be immediately investigated for harming kids in some way. If you are a republican who wants to save kids, I automatically assume you are a pedophile.

I’m having a hard time having sympathy for someone who was supporting anti-trans bigots, who were accusing teachers of being pedophiles, and (I suppose) attempting a coup. (Hard to take the last one seriously.)

Like… Of course this ended poorly. I’m surprised they paid any of the hydro bill from their camp, tbh.

It’s Press Progress. This is less a “poor farmer” article, and more a seat at a wrestling match where everyone hates both guys.

And yet Media Bias gives Press Progress a High mark for factual reporting.

I do agree on how poorly the article is written tho. But when it can’t be based on facts (like police reports or other sources) it would always just be a he said/she said.

If they annoyed everyone in the area, became a public nuisance for a year, and left behind a big mess, well that is a small price to pay for the nation’s children finally being saved.

All the quotes make these chucklefucks sound like 4th graders. "And the he did this and then he said this and then he said that and then I seen him do that and then he done this… "

I really like that site because it doesn’t have a bunch of obstructive pop-ups, ads and auto playing videos.

Literally just a text article with minimal intrusion. Very rare these days
