Wish I had some money. But it would also be kinda nice to see how much money they need to fulfill the server costs, while also showing us how much they already get.
I do remember that blahaj zone is rather expensive with some thousands per month I think.
Would be nice to have some transparency about this, kinda like catbox does it on their homepage
If I recall correctly, that cost was a large blowout due to an expensive provider, and blahaj has now migrated to a provider that has more reasonable fees.
Do we have a numeric value on how expensive it is currently?

I have a quite small instance costing me $223 per year. I outline this and the current donations on my opencollective. https://opencollective.com/thelemmyclub
But I can cover these costs myself so I don’t push it much. If we ever grow much I’ll probably stop allowing signups, don’t have time to run a bigger instance, and the money could begin to be an issue too.
Wikipedia style: if everybody who visited gave X we would be funded for 1.5 years.
