The Georgia trial of Donald Trump on charges he conspired to overturn the 2020 election will be televised and streamed live, according to Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee.

McAfee issued an order Thursday stating that all court proceedings involving Trump and his 18 co-conspirators will be broadcast via a television pool. The Fulton Co. Courts’ YouTube channel will stream the trials live.

In addition, the judge ruled that reporters will be allowed to have computers and cell phones inside the courtroom, as long as they don’t record the proceedings.

I mean, I suppose that’s good, but it feels like his ego doesn’t need the attention. He’s going to try to find a way to make it part of his campaign, and his supporters are going to eat it up.

He’s going to have to sit still for hours, and if he starts acting up the judge will tell him to shut up or throw him in contempt.

Dude can’t handle debates because a moderator might tell him what to do. He won’t be able to handle court that’s livestreamed with a judge.

Nah. He’s not like that in court. You can watch him in any of his previous court appearances (he’s been there a lot). He sits there and listens and says I don’t recall a lot, or he answers questions.

Trump knows how courts work. He doesn’t grandstand when he’s there.

It’s still a court room. It’s not like there’s stadium seating.

Uh no. He’s not going to see everyone in the same room with him. It’s a court room.

Look, I’d love for it to be a ridiculous clown show as much as anyone else but your in for a lot of disappointment if that’s what you’re expecting. He’s going to sit there and act just like hes acted in all the other many many court cases he’s been in.

There’ll be more people watching than likely any other live event in history; he quite literally will never have and has never had a larger platform.

                  I guess.
Except for that time he was president lol.

You have this fantasy of how it’s going to go, but the reality is going to much more boring. The guy has been in a lot court rooms. It’s a game he knows well.

Yea, it’ll be like with Alex Jones. Even if he has the ability to not act out or lie in court he still would in hopes of playing to his base and will hurt his case.

What, you think his base is going to believe “The Media”? This is fantastic for him. It gives him the same kind of attention he got in the lead up to the 2016 election, and won him the election.

This will only be a dumpster fire where people who hate him will get to lounge in their schadenfreude, and the people who love him will get to martyr him with all the conspiracy theories they’ll come up with to explain away his guilt. The only people who will suffer will be the people who want this clownshow to end for good.

His base will never change, they are a cult and believe what they want to believe. This will just further bury Trump in the eyes of the moderate R’s, the ones who held their nose and voted for Biden, or just abstained from voting last time. It will pull the big donors away from Trump. And it will burn his legacy, which is the worst thing you can do to him.

Calling it now. This is going to be too juicy to avoid airing live on every major news network, but Fox is going to mute most of the audio and have their commentators talk over it. That way their viewers can feel informed and say they watched the trial, all while safely continuing to live in a misinformation bubble.

That might be good too though. Like if a bunch of unreconstructed Trumpers vote Trump in the next election, and he’s either jailed or not the candidate… that paves the way for a pretty easy Democrat victory.

His age and drug habits would make that a terrible move, on top of the fact he literally cannot shut up. If he had good lawyers, there would be no possible way in hell they would physically allow him to take the stand even if he insisted on it. Luckily for anyone rooting against him, he has truly terrible lawyers that know they’re probably not getting paid at the end of this either way.

I can’t remember which investigation it was while he was president, but the lawyers argued he’s too dumb or incompetent to be deposed without perjuring himself. Eventually they agreed to 10 questions written and he was allowed lawyers with him to answer.

Any good lawyer will tell the court he isn’t testifying and try to keep trump from talking in and out the court.

First hour and last hour of the trial are going to be the only interesting parts unless he fires his lawyers and takes the stand against every sensible bit of legal advice in the entire legal profession.

Eptsein pled guilty in 2005. There wasn’t much of a trial and YouTube was brand new, it did not have live streaming.

Maxwell was charged and convicted in federal court where cameras are not allowed.

The arrest where Epstein totally disabled cameras put two guards to sleep and then killed himself in a PC cell on suicide watch happened in 2019; before he was on trial for the latest information relating to his sex trafficking. He also plead guilty to a similar crime in 2005.
