Hey guys,

Recently moved to Dk and was wondering what vitamin brands are considered “good” “high quality” I’m planning on buying D & omega 3. I actually already got omega 3 (fish oil vitamin) from the brand called Futura. What other vitamins are useful to have?

Thanks in advance 🫶🏻

Vitamin D is vitamin D so just buy whatever you feel like. Theres no difference between brands or off-label

If you think you have any deficiencies you should get your doctor to check. It’s important to know how much vitamin D you need for instance.

After consulting with my doctor I personally take 70 ug vitamin D, a multivitamin and Fiskeolie. According to my doctor the brand of the vitamins are not important, something to do with EU standards I believe, but the fiskeolie can vary a lot, so I take the one from Matas own brand since it won the Tænk (Danish Consumer Council) Test.

Vitamin D during winter. I use Livol, you can get them in Føtex, Kvickly and other supermarket.

The pharmacies have their own brand, they are usually the cheapest, ill bet my hat they are any bit as good as any other brand. Just ask next time you go.

A healthy and variated meal plan that includes lots of veggies, greens, fruit, nuts and fish

Than you should, as a normal person, be covered. Taking vitamins are not necessarily a quick fix for anything

Though, the Danish health authorities does recommend a dose of D vitamin, especially at winter

Solgar and Solaray are good quality. You won’t find them at supermarkets but can get them in “helsekostforretninger” like Helsam. Can however recommend buying them online for a better price, check pricerunner.dk. I have used www.okologisk-supermarked.dk last couple of years for my vitamin needs.

Consider a multi vitamin that has a bit of everything, for example this:

Don’t do this everyday. The amount of heavy metals would be too high.

Gerimax energy from The store ‘normal’ is a pretty good multivitamin that covers pretty much all the essential vitamins you need. Before you dive into d vitamins- please talk with a physician or pharmacist about it - too much can make you ill.
