The ability to save JSON files from AI chat is awesome! I’m wondering as a backup if something happens to perchance, is there a way to convert these into text?

JSON should be text already since it is just a data structure and not a binary file format. You should be able to cut-n-paste whatever you want.
What do you aim to backup to plain text? What AI Chat are you using i.e. https://perchance.org/ai-chat or https://perchance.org/ai-character-chat ?
The first one. I want to backup it in the proper format, if you open the json its all jumbled. I want to bakc it up like if you just select all and copy paste the chat
If you’re using AI-Chat, you should be able to scroll down to the bottom of the screen and below “save chat, load, share”, there’ll be a button that says “Copy Chat Logs Without Summaries”. This will copy your chat in plain-text into your clipboard, and you can then paste it into a blank text file to save it.
