We’ve had 2 months of Trump to see his destruction and you are still going for, “both sides bad.”

    Really?

That’s how you know it’s a bad faith argument.

It is an intentional misrepresentation of reality in favor of Republicans.

The Republican Party has done way worse because that’s what they work towards as a party.

      Examples:

      • taking away rights to abortion/healthcare
      • denying climate change
      • fascism
      • racism
      • tax cuts for the rich

The majority of complaints about Dems are from individual politicians going against the party. Or Dems reaching across the aisle because they have constituents from the left and right and that’s their job.

Many bad things are not the same as few bad things.

There will never be a perfect world where all politicians in any party are perfect.

Not to defend OP (who is kind of defensive in these comments lol), but they did specify neolibs, not Democrats (although that’s a good chunk of DNC).

And sure, neolibs are still better than whatever the fuck Trump is at this point, but the Democrats do need a makeover the same way tea party took over established GoP. People crave change, it’s one reason they’d elect a sociopath promising change.

Trump was elected because of a concerted effort from foreign bots, the GOP propaganda machine and the billionaire class. Not because “people crave change”.

I would like to see Dems move further left. But it is a politicians job to do what their constituents want regardless of their ideology. So Dems and republicans will always need to cater to more than leftist ideology. At least until there are a lot more leftist voters.

Both the top and bottom one is just plain old liberalism - not “conservatism” or neoliberalism.
