As the title says for hentai/anime based subs i created a SauceNao bot on the username SauceNaoBot!

To add it just send a message to the bot saying {community name (not displayname)}:Enable So for Paizuri Hentai, it would be paizuri:Enable both sides are caps agnostic.

Once added it will scan through your sub every minute (or so if it gets more popular) commenting on new posts with a SauceNao result!

Things it can handle: normal image posts Posts with an image embedded in the body

Things it cant handle currently: Videos arent supported by SauceNao as far as i can tell. it will work on gif’s though If its a multi image post it will only check the first one Gallery sites: Especially Reddit as i cant actually get the file names from a reddit gallery ( i cant manage to find a way to pull the file names using reddit’s api :/) if its a single file from reddit it does work though.

Anyway thanks for your time everyone, and happy modding! Update: it was down for a a little bit, turns out when the instance updated to V0.18 NSFW results were no longer returned from the API unless i sent an auth string with them. Its been adjusted and should be up again!

      Yup! you can remove it from the position, right now there arent really any settings to speak of it just goes through all image posts and adds a comment with any info it can gather from SauceNao.

      If you want it to continue working on the community, but dont want it in a mod position, just remove it then send it a message with the content: starwarsnsfw:enable

          Ah that is a good question, I just logged in to leave the mod team on that sub, but the button was missing for just that sub. did you transfer ownership to it? could you put a comment on one of the posts in there (i can use that comment to transfer ownership back, then ill leave the mod team on the sub)

            I just did, here.

            Very interesting because all I did was click on the button “appoint as mod,” button as you can see here, and that was it. Is it possible that somehow transferred ownership?

            Update: I just looked at the mod team on my community and the bot is ahead of me which means that it did transfer over ownership.

              Nope I was wrong I don’t think you double clicked. So a I tried transferring it back, it doesn’t seem to be taking. It’s showing up in modlog that it’s being transfered but I never lose the perms.

              So I started scrolling through main to see if there was an issue and it looks like your not the only one affected, mod ranks seem scrambled for some reason they think it’s the v 18 update. Hopefully it will sort out soon:/

              For now I assure you I’ll stay off the comunity, and once it is resolved I’ll make sure it gets transfered back asap.
