98% of the reason I yearn for Stalinist totalitaranism is that I’ll likely be forcibly drafted into some form of employment rather than having to interview. Major stress relief to get the letter saying I will be a gulag toilet cleaner rather than pretending to a soulless HR automaton that my life’s passion is whatever today’s marketing buzzword is.
