    I’d rather have a crude, worse-than-MS-paint photoshop meme than some AI generated nonsense.

    At the very least, the crude 'shop one had some effort put into it. And as someone who crudely shops things for the lulz, there’s a point about 2/3 through where it starts to take shape and you can be like “you know, this is stupid” and abandon it. With AI generated ones, it’s just type, copy, paste, spam with no reflection point (I mean, you could choose not to post what was output, but most people just click “send”).

    That’s not even touching on how AI generated images just look wrong. To me, they’re just unsettling and deeply in uncanny valley.

      I, for one, am looking forward to the AI ouroboros training itself on its own outputs

    I get the sentiment, but it’s hard to classify them as “all bad” for me. It’s like 25% percent good. Like those inpainting rick roll images

    Yeah when Lemmy does the bean circlejerk its funny until someone uploads their 25 AI generated bean + noun creations.
